In this episode, (Part 1 of 2), you'll learn WHAT the Gut and Psychology Syndrome is, how to eat on the diet, how it differs from the dietary suggestions offered by conventional medicine, and why we should care. We also touch on vegetarianism/veganism and our experiences with it.
In Part 2, (Ep. 28, to be published 1-22-2018) we will expand on this philosophy by discussing what dis-eases can be treated with GAPS, including Autism and Celiac, and whether it's safe for anyone to try, as well as resources for learning more.
Karen Lyke holds a D.Sc. in Holistic Nutrition from Hawthorn University as well an M.S. in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport. She is a Board Certified Clinical Nutritionist and a Diplomat in Advanced Nutritional Laboratory Assessment. She has taught nutrition, anatomy, and physiology to massage and acupuncture students and is currently teaching at Hawthorn U, as well as Stautzenberger College. Additionally, she is a Certified GAPS Practitioner and is on the Honorary Board of the Weston A Price Foundation. Karen is heavily involved in the Toledo WAPF Chapter.
