Naturopathic Medicine w/ Dr. Watts-White, Ep 2
June 13, 2017 Dr. Maleigha Watts-White, N.D.
*Please excuse our sound quality as we learn the art of podcasting.* How does a college kid go from eating ramen and pizza to becoming a Naturopathic Doctor specializing in nutrition? You'll learn all this and more! Dr. Maleigha White is a Naturopathic Doctor located in Waterville, Ohio. She's only one of two licensed ND's in Northwest Ohio. She enjoys cooking, traveling, kickboxing, archery, and is training for her first half marathon! In this episode, Dr. White and Rose discuss the basics of Naturopathic Medicine, how ND's are permitted to practice in Ohio, and who can benefit from a naturopathic approach. We dig a little deeper into how Dr. White went from eating ramen and pizza to being a living and breathing example of holistic nutrition and self care. We also talk about food diaries, food elimination, and discuss whether the gluten-free craze is a passing fad or the real deal. Dr. White highlights two of her favorite things about living in NW Ohio: The first is kickboxing at a gym called "I Love Kickboxing." I Love Kickboxing is a kickboxing franchise with two locations in the Toledo area. Go to http://www.ilovekickboxing.com to learn more. Dr. White also enjoys the awesome metroparks in our locale.
